Welcome to our online service. This service includes some of the elements from our in person service for those who are not able to make it at 11am. We'd encourage you to begin to come back to our in person services if you can. The opportunity to meet together is good for us and helps us on our Christian journey together.
Today we are continuing in our series introduced at our all age service last week on Trust. In a week when we have had a lot of news about the rising cost of living, how can we trust in God with what we have?
This week Sunday Zone starts back - our group for children and young people. We do not have a creche at present, but we do have space to play and toys you can bring into the service for your child if you would like.
If you are coming in person, please wear a mask. Although rules have now relaxed, we would encourage you to keep doing so whilst rates of Covid are higher to keep things safe for everyone. We ask you not to attend in person if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or have tested positive!

Church Meals
We plan to re-introduce our after service monthly fellowship meals, with the first one on March 6th. The format of this will depend on the Covid situation, but we look forward to putting eating together at the heart of our church family life.
Worship
Call to Worship (Psalm 24)
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Saviour. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory.
Songs for Today
Here are the songs for today. You might want to play the last two between the sermon and prayers
Word
Here is Claire bringing us a reflection based on Psalm 24 (see call to worship) and 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 - you might want to read it first - it's available here
Prayers
Pray for those you know who are struggling with every day expenses right now. Pray for those who are worried about the future. If that is you, lay your worries before God now.
Creator God, you loved the world into life. Forgive us when our dreams of the future are shaped by anything other than glimpses of a kingdom of justice, peace and an end to poverty.
Incarnate God, you taught us to speak out for what is right. Make us content with nothing less than a world that is transformed into the shape of love, where poverty shall be no more.
Breath of God, let there be abundant life. Inspire us with the vision of poverty over, and give us the faith, courage and will to make it happen.
